It was my first official Mothers Day and it was WONDERFUL. Scott and Ava made it such a special day. As I was walking to church all I could think about was how lucky I was to have my little Ava with me. She is by far the best thing that has come into my life, since I married Scott obviously!!! (Disclaimer: we had Tanis BEFORE we got married!!!) Scott always catches me staring at her and asks if I'm thinking about how much I love her. And I am...I always am! I can't believe the feelings this little person brings out of us!! Scott and I do this thing at the end of the day where we tell each other our Highs and Lows of the day and I can't come up with anything better than that I got to spend the whole day with Ava. She is always my high!!! I feel so lucky to be her mom and top be trusted to take care of her while we are on this earth. I hope she always thinks I am as cool and I think she is.

Just a quick shout out to my mom....I love you!!! You are one of the most amazing people I know. I am so grateful to have you in my life. Thanks for being such a wonderful example, friend and Grandma!!! I am so lucky to have a mom like you and Ava is a lucky grandbaby!!!

And to my other mom. I was always very frightened to see what my mother-in-law would be like and I have to tell you I totally got lucky! She is such a wonderful, giving person and she is always thinking about others! Thanks for being so supportive to Scott and I. And for being such a great Grammy!!! I love you!

Year End Party

We had our year end party at Classic Skating. We all dressed up from our favorite decade. Obviously there were lots of 80's lovers. Including Ava and Myself!!! I didn't take very many pictures, but we had so much fun!!!

Extreme Home Make-Over

Am I married to Ty Pennington??? NOPE! Scott is even better!!! We are totally redoing the outside of our house. To date he has ripped off the brick, installed new windows, put on new siding and replaced soffet (sp?). He is so so so wonderful!!! I am amazed at his awesome skills!!!

Last Chance

We went private and all I heard was "Why can't I view your blog?" so took it off. But I really want to activate it again so if you were one of those who never left your e-mail....it's now or never!

Daddy's Girl

If you look back in my history you will see a picture of Scott holding up this onesie when we found out we were having a baby. He brought this Led Zepplin shirt home from work one day and shortly after found a matching bow with skulls and cross bones! He was so excited to have her wear it! He is such a great dad and he loves her so much! She gets SO excited when he gets home and just wants his attention the rest of the night! I am so grateful for him and that he makes it possible to stay home with Ava. I love you Babe!

Sniff, Sniff

This time of year at work is bitter sweet! I love the competitions season but by the time it ends I am so ready to be done! We had such a fun year and I am so proud of all my girls. They all did so well at the competition. Way to represent girls!!! They are AWESOME and I love all of you! On a side note...I am cutting back my hours for next year so I never have to come home after Ava is in bed! Whahoo...I am so excited!!!

A Month of Firsts!!!

We took Ava to the zoo for the first time! I have been waiting for this ever since I got pregnant! We love the zoo and we go all the time! It was so fun to take Ava. And Scott was so cute pointing out all the animals to her. She actually saw most of them, but the monkeys really caught her attention! She loved the train ride and on the carousel...she rode on a dolphin!

Ava fell asleep on the way out...it was a lot to take in!
