Ava June Bayles

Hi! I'm Ava. I was born on November 25th. Weighing in at 7lbs. 1 oz. and 19inches. This is a look at the first 5 days of my life!

This is my mom and dad at the Hospital. The doctor decided to induce her because I was taking my time figuring out when to come. She was kinda nervous about the getting induced but she was SO ready for me to get here. She got induced at 11:00am.

This is me meeting mommy and daddy. They kinda look like deer in the headlights because I decided to come really fast! After 8 hours of my heart rate dropping, the doctor came and my mom pushed for 10 minutes and I came out! It was kinda scary cause the cord was wrapped around my neck....I didn't like it!

The Olsen family was actually at the hospital bringing Daddy some dinner....I thought it was really unfair that mommy didn't get to eat! Everything happened so fast that they ended up being in the hallway when I was born so I got to met them when I was only a few minutes old!

The nurse and daddy gave me my first bath! I didn't like it too much but I was happy because no one could tell how much blonde hair I had until after!

Grammy and Grandad Bayles came soon after the news of my arrival. I was so excited to meet them. I am grandbaby #15!

My parents have been a little "picture happy" since I got here.

This is me getting ready to come home from the Hospital.

Me and daddy. The first thing he taught me was the names of the people on his STAR WARS shirt!

I have had a lot of visitors. Mommy says everyone has been so excited to see me. I usually just sleep through the visits, but I really am excited they come!

The past 5 days have been pretty crazy around our house! We came home 24 hours after I was born (mommy didn't like being in the hospital).

Since then I went to Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Olsen's.

Mommy and Daddy gave me a bath at home.

We decorated the Christmas tree!

I met my brother Tanis.....he just mostly likes to smell me!

And I snuggled with Daddy A LOT!!!

Well, that's it in a nutshell! Mommy and Daddy say thanks for all the phone calls and texts! I will keep you posted on all the exciting adventures that my parents are in for now that I'm here!!!

Eye Opener!!!

So, I am having a day full of self pitty because.....yes, I am still pregnant! It is 3:00 in the afternoon and I am still in my jammies, being all depressed that my little girl is taking her sweet time! Well, what else do you do when your bored but look at blogs. My friends JenO had this on her blog and it made my stomache sink that I was feeling so bad for myself. After this little "being thankful" pick-me-up......Tanis and I are going outside to rake all the leaves into a big pile. And when Scott gets home, we are going to play and jump and take tons of pictures because we are so lucky to have the wonderful lives that we do!!! Even if I am STILL pregnant!!! :) HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

If you have food in the fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep.... you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace.... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness... You are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... You are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death... You are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If your parents are still alive and still married.... You are very rare, even in the United States

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful.... you are blessed because the majority can, but most don't.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing, in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

What a great Holiday Thanksgiving is to remind us all how blessed we really are. The trick is remembering it day to day and showing our gratitude more abundantly! Happy Thanksgiving week everyone

Last Weekend of Freedom......HOPEFULLY!!!

Scott and I had a fun weekend. We decided to go to the zoo on Saturday morning and we went out to breakfast on the way up. We had fun walking around and looking at the animals all the while trying to start labor.....no such luck. But it was fun spending time together. I keep wondering when this little baby will grace us with her presence, and I am just reminded how we are no longer in control! Kinda scary! In the 'perfect for Beth world' she will come next Sunday the 23rd. After Art with Heart and on a day when Scott will not be working up in Salt Lake. What are the chances? Not very good. Last Tuesday at my doc's appt. I was dialated to a two and 75% effaced. I know that is a lot of info, but I have had a lot of people ask. So there are my stats. It better be good news on Tuesday. However, if I get through next Sunday and I'm still pregnant....watch out!!! I will not be too happy!

I have included a picture for Bri...... 39 weeks!!! Large and somewhat in Charge!!!

This is a random picture...but it shows you how much Tanis loves vanilla zingers......YUM!
