The Guy Behind My Happiness

I feel like all I ever do is blog about my kiddos. And although they are too stinking cute for words, I have felt the need to write about this man of mine. (brace yourself for some sap!)
When we met, we worked together for a year before any form of relationship evolved. It was pretty much "Scotty, can I go home?"...."Did you do your closing?"....."Yup."......"Ok.". And it went on like that for a year. We didn't know anything about eachother. I thought he was "too cool" to talk to me. And he thought I was a "snotty beauty queen". Until, one day I saw him in a new light. I don't know what it was that all of a sudden made me interested in him, but boy was I!!! I very sneekily tricked him into asking me to the midnight showing of LORD OF THE RINGS. (Yes, that was how much I liked him!) He kissed me on our second date and told me he was falling in love with me 2 weeks later on New Year's Eve. It was all over after that. We were inseperable!
Nine months later we were engaged......for what seemed like an eternity! Everything he did and put up with during our engagment showed me that he would do anything for me. He stood by me when I was confused, stressed and wigging out! And on July 30th we were married in the Manti Temple. We each drove down to the temple with our parents. I remember when I walked into the temple and saw him walk around the corner I thought 'this is really happening..... I get him for forever!'. Everything about that day was perfect! (some of that credit has to go to my amazing mom for thinking of every detail for our wedding.)Since that day we have had many ups and downs, but we go to bed each night happy with our life. Two beautiful children later, I love just that same...if not more.
Scott is so amazing. He seems to know exactly what I need and when I need it. He works so hard to provide for our family. He lets me be me and embraces all my quirks. I would rather be with him than anyone. We have fun doing anything together.....even what seems like work. He makes me laugh. He is my world.
I love you Scott! And thanks for my amazing life!

DISNEYLAND

We got to go to Disneyland over Thanksgiving Break with the ENTIRE BAYLES FAMILY (Nixon in #29) We had so much fun celebrating Grandad's retirement. We were there for Ava's 3rd birthday and took her to eat lunch with the princesses. When Mulan arrived we decided it was worth EVERY PENNY! Ava was also tall enough to go on most of the rides. She was a little nervous but we got her to go on everything! Being 3 months old Nixon thought it was great! He stayed bundled up in his blankets most of the time. His very first disney ride was Pinnochio! I can't believe how much I love watching my kids enjoy the magic! Thanks Grammy and Grandad! Such great memories!

Ava's 3rd Birthday

Our little Ava June turned 3 this year! I cannot believe she has been with us that long! She is such an absolute JOY to have around. She is smart, funny and so sweet to her little brother. She is curious and thoughtful of others. She is so affectionate and loves to give hugs! We had a pretty low key party because the next day we headed to disneyland!

WE LOVE YOU AVA! THANKS FOR BEING OURS!!!

Pinnacle Run for Hope

The Olsen family decided to participate in the Pinnacle Run for Hope in remembrance of my Mom on the two year anniversary of her death. Some of us ran a 5k and others a 10k. It was just a fun way to do something fun to remember her and how great she made our lives. Little did we know that four of us would place!!! We had such a great time together! I love my family!

Halloween 2011

We had such a fun Halloween! Ava really got into the trick-or-treating this year! Between Gardner Village, the Pumpkin Patch, Ward Parties and Becky's Halloween Party, our month of October was packed!

Go Cougars!

Scott's parents have season tickets to BYU Football games. We love going! Ava thinks it's the coolest thing ever just to be with her cousins and eat cougar tails. Every time we are driving and she sees the 'Y' on the mountain she yells "Mom! It's the football game!"

Ava & Camden (her cousin who she someday "wants to marry"!)

Looking for the guy selling cotton candy!

It's so "romantical"!
